The same thing happened to me yesterday. Strangely, the language was set to Russian in preferences. I used my phone number to secure 2FA, and later that evening, someone attempted to use that number to hack into another email account I have. Have asked EA several times to delete the account, but nothing has happened yet. This is a major breach, and I was lucky enough not to enter more information that could easily be used for social engineering (such as name, birthday, etc.). EA should take this extremely seriously since I've already been affected by "losing" my phone number to hackers. Never use the same password on any website or email. Always used 2FA.
AND WHY CAN'T I DELETE MY ACCOUNT!! THIS IS FALSELY MADE BY AN UNKNOWN USER.
