I work for a company and we saw these emails getting marked as phishing by our staff when they started coming in. Researching the issue I found this thread a week or so ago. The latest we're now seeing is "we wish to notify you that we have found your account to be in violation of our user agreement or our terms of sale.... we are left with no option other than to permantently close your account with immeidate effect". Based on email headers it appears to be legit form EA, like the account creations.
All we've been able to figure out is someone has gamed the system to create fake accounts without having to verify them, they are abusing them in some way, and then getting those accounts banned.
How they are creating and verifying the account is unknown and trying to use the support option on the website is annoying as I'm not reporting on a console, game, etc....
So adding to this thread in hopes some moderator can at least see and elevate it.
