Steam linked to unknown EA account

I have the same issue and EA support could not help, they said they need information on the EA account that is linked to my steam. I could only give them the partially censored email that I got from the error message. The EA support person told me to contact Steam but Steam support says they dont have any information on third party services like EA and their linking accounts feature.

    I appreciate you following the advice I shared with the other OP and reaching out to support. However, if the EA account linked to your Steam isn’t yours or you don’t recognize the email address, the support team's hands are tied. Our support team is only able to assist the owner of the EA account, as verifying account ownership is required before any changes can be made to an EA account.

    I’m sorry. This is a tough situation, and I wish there was more we could do from our side.

    So when the owner of an EA account is  a CRIMINAL who stole someone's steam account, your hands are tied?

    That is unacceptable.  YOU tied your hands. YOU decided, as a company, to create this broken account linking system that permanently and irrecoverably associates a steam account with a hacker's EA account, long after the steam account has been recovered. There is nothing stopping you, as a company, from implementing an unlink feature for this except your own choices.

    I don't want you to change the hacker's EA account. I just want you to let me attach MY EA account to MY  steam account.  That's not "your hands are tied," that's poor system design.

    I'm currently having the exact same issue! It's extremely frustrating being told nothing can be done for us.

    And how is this statement being marked as a solution? What a slap in our faces.

    Not a solution!

    I am also having the same issue. This is the hacker's fake email    oj*****@ronaldofmail.com.

    I WAS the original owner of the account, but since you couldn't help me get the account back, I made a new one. Now I can't link to my Steam account.
