An EA Account can only be linked to one Steam account in its lifetime.

I purchased "It takes two" yesterday on my personal steam account and downloaded the main game. I downloaded the friend's pass on my son's steam account. Today I attempted to play the game for the first time and it asked for a login, I went to setup my son's friend pass version using my email address. When I went to sign in on my computer where I actually have the game it said my email address/EA account had already been associated to my son's steam account so I went in to the EA website to unlink it and attempted to login again and received an error message that "An EA Account can only be linked to one Steam account in its lifetime." THERE WAS NO WARNING WHATSOEVER, I contacted customer support and they said there is nothing they can do about it! The account was linked for less than 10 minutes there was no warning of any kind and you're telling me its permanent, are you kidding me?! It was obviously an accident; my email address, my Steam account and my EA account all share the same name! What sense does this make?! I didn't even get a chance to play the game, I guess I'll just get a refund, completely avoid and tell everyone I know to avoid EA games for the rest of my life. This is insanity.

  • Understandable that this is frustrating.
Even when you linked it to your son's account both accounts need to have a unique account linked to their EA account to play the game.
Meaning you will need to create another ea account even if this was not the case.
