Friend Pass not working (Error 409)

Got a friend that owns the game on Xbox and I am on PC (Steam) trying to do Friend pass and the friend request shows up and disappears very quickly. when I did catch it I am getting the following err...

Hey friend, I did some tests, I also had this problem, but downloading the friend pass (I imagine your friend is on the PC) through the EA app worked normally.
