I have the same problem on my PS5. After about 1 hour of playing with a friend (also on PS5) the PS5 suddenly turns off and I can no longer turn it on until I disconnect and reconnect the power cable. The PS5 feels very warm so it looks very much like overheating. It only seems to happen to the PS5 hosting the game. The other PS5 on the friends pass keeps running. If I start the game again after the PS5 starts it will turn itself off again within 10-15 minutes. If I leave it to cool then I can play longer until it again turns off. This is the only game I have seen this happen with.
I've looked into the PS5 console error history but there is nothing there. The mechanic that turns off the console is not caused by software it looks like.

My wife and I had this exact same issue on ps5, she's playing the friend's pass version on our ps5 and I'm playing on the full copy of the game I bought on my steam account. We played the first few levels and got to the end of the sand-shark riding sequence and the ps5 hard crashed and couldn't be turned on again until I power cycled the system by unplugging the power cable and replugging it back in after a bit. I thought the game had bricked my system for minute so it was quite alarming. I believe the game is causing the system to overheat and the system shuts down to prevent damage to the hardware. I've never experienced any other game causing my ps5 to do this. It's definitely a problem with Split Fiction.
EA_ShepardAny traction on this issue? My wife and I were really enjoying the game before the crash but now we're scared to try to play again.
