"Something went wrong" on split fiction on Xbox series X

I have the full game installed, and I have my friend in a party with me. When in an online lobby, when I press Y invite friend, then select Invite friend through Xbox network, the side bar CHOOSE PEO...

I'd like to kindly ask for a solution on that issue (or at least a workaround), since I'm just encountering the same problem right now - we're already able to play it halfway through (the last session was over an hour ago).
