Split Fiction 103-3f0001

Whenever a friend invites me to play on their friend pass I get error: 103-3f0001.

Their system: Xbox
My system: PC (EA App)

I have:
1. Checked there's nothing conflicting running in the background.
2. Checked their are firewall rules set.
3. Checked my age on EA is an adult.
4. Checked that I'm not banned or suspended (made a second account just incase).
5. Restarted my PC & Router.
6. Checked server status'.
7. Tried different DNS settings.

I see other topics related to this error but no solid solutions.

Thanks in advance!

Hey there, thanks for bringing this up. I've seen a few reports lately about error 103-3f0001, especially involving the Friend Pass between Xbox and PC (EA App). Ive seen a few You Tube videos that may help but there are quite a few I didn't want to link. A quick Google search for "error: 103-3f0001" brings up quite a bit.

You've already done excellent troubleshooting, so thanks for laying out the steps! Since you've already covered the common bases, like firewall, DNS, server status, account age, and potential bans, let's dig a bit deeper.

A couple more things to try and confirm:

    1. Crossplay Settings (Xbox side):
Make sure your friend on Xbox has crossplay enabled under:
    • Xbox Settings > Account > Privacy & Online Safety > Xbox Privacy > View Details & Customize > Communication & Multiplayer (Set it to allow cross-network play).
    1. EA App Repair/Reinstall (PC side):
Sometimes this issue relates directly to the EA App itself:
    • Navigate to EA App > Settings > Application > Run App Recovery.
    • If that doesn’t fix it, consider a full uninstall and reinstall of the EA App.
    1. Xbox & EA Account Linking:
    • Double-check your EA Account linking status here: https://myaccount.ea.com/cp-ui/connectaccounts/index
    • Confirm that your EA account is properly linked to your Xbox gamertag (if applicable), or that your PC account isn't unintentionally linked elsewhere.
    1. VPN or Networking:
    • Ensure no VPN services are running—even in the background—as this can interfere with crossplay connections.
