Hey there, thanks for bringing this up. I've seen a few reports lately about error 103-3f0001, especially involving the Friend Pass between Xbox and PC (EA App). Ive seen a few You Tube videos that may help but there are quite a few I didn't want to link. A quick Google search for "error: 103-3f0001" brings up quite a bit.
You've already done excellent troubleshooting, so thanks for laying out the steps! Since you've already covered the common bases, like firewall, DNS, server status, account age, and potential bans, let's dig a bit deeper.
A couple more things to try and confirm:
- Crossplay Settings (Xbox side):
Make sure your friend on Xbox has crossplay enabled under:
- Xbox Settings > Account > Privacy & Online Safety > Xbox Privacy > View Details & Customize > Communication & Multiplayer (Set it to allow cross-network play).
- EA App Repair/Reinstall (PC side):
Sometimes this issue relates directly to the EA App itself:
- Navigate to EA App > Settings > Application > Run App Recovery.
- If that doesn’t fix it, consider a full uninstall and reinstall of the EA App.
- Xbox & EA Account Linking:
- Double-check your EA Account linking status here: https://myaccount.ea.com/cp-ui/connectaccounts/index
- Confirm that your EA account is properly linked to your Xbox gamertag (if applicable), or that your PC account isn't unintentionally linked elsewhere.
- VPN or Networking:
- Ensure no VPN services are running—even in the background—as this can interfere with crossplay connections.
