Thanks for your response! It was from the library, it was originally redeemed on an Xbox One but we learned that wouldn’t work so we bought the X same day. When I reinstalled the other times it was through the store.

Do you happen to have another profile or a add a guest profile that can log in as well?
I looked for any active issues on Xbox, and there's a few in game but not what you are describing. I even redownloaded it just to test it, but it launches so it may be more local.
