BF2042 Will my EA play Pro benefits will be migrated?

Hi,

I have a question, if I am subscribed to EA play Pro, I get the same benefits as the pre-purchase of BF2042, right? So if I cancel my subscription to buy the gold or ultimate edition of 2042, will my benefits (skins) migrate or lose them?

Please i will waiting for the answer, I had many performance issues in the beta meeting the requirements and I want to test what they have managed to optimize before buying it completely. I'm a big fan of Battlefield, but I have to know whether to continue with my pc or go for a console and buy the game there, I don't want to have performance issues.

My rig:

Ryzen 5 3600

RX 570 4 GB

16 GB Ram 3200mhz

    Hey @Tukulit0,

Thanks for your visit to the forums!

It is indeed the case that when you have an EA Play (Pro) membership, a lot of times you get extras for our games. However, when you no longer have the membership, these extras will indeed no longer be available.

On the Edition Overview page of Battlefield 2042, you can see what is included if you pre-order a certain edition or if you own EA Play Pro: https://www.origin.com/store/battlefield/battlefield-2042/interstitial#store-page-section-compareeditions.

Hope this answers your question a bit. 🙂
  • Ok I have preordered the base BF 2042, but have since then grabbed a 1 mo deal for EA Play Pro to try out. EA Play says to upgrade the game for free which it will to the Ultimate, so will it go back to the base game when the month membership is up? With it upgrading will I need to reinstall when it returns to base game at the end of the month? Sorry I've never used EA Play before.

    Hey @widowmaker488,

No need to say sorry! I happily explain this for you. 🙂

Indeed, when you have EA Play Pro, you get the Ultimate Edition of the game for as long as your membership is active. Origin indeed says that you need to upgrade the Base version of the game when it detects that you have the base version, in order to unlock the Ult version content.

When your EA Play Pro runs out, you indeed lose the access to the extras that come with EA Play Pro/Ult version of the game, because you officially only own the base version of the game.

When the EA Play Pro runs out, it can sometimes indeed happen that Origin mentions that you need to do something (either repair the game or reinstall) and it can sometimes also unfortunately happen that you're unable to launch the game in that case (in some very, very rare circumstances).

If you're experiencing any issues with the game once your EA Play Pro runs out; I first recommend that you try to repair the game via Origin (right-click on the game tile > Repair game) and if you still experience issues afterwards, feel free to reach out to our Live Support team to double-check if the priority of the owned base version of the game has not been overwritten with the (than expired) EA Play Pro version. 🙂
