Cannot Renew EA Play Pro via PayPal (Payment Fails - Region Issue)

Hello EA Team,

I have been trying to renew my EA Play Pro subscription for several weeks now using PayPal.

Despite trying different cards linked to my PayPal account, all attempts have failed. I contacted PayPal support and confirmed that there are no issues with my account or cards. They also confirmed that the same card successfully processed an EA Play payment in December 2024.

In my country (Azerbaijan), PayPal is the only available payment method for EA Play. Direct card payments and other payment methods are not available. This situation prevents me from renewing my subscription.

I would also like to mention that I have been an EA account holder since 2010 and have been a long-time player and loyal customer of EA games, especially series like Battlefield and FIFA (now FC series). 

I have also noticed that many users from different countries are facing similar issues, which suggests this could be a broader problem.

I kindly request the EA team to investigate this and provide a solution or alternative for affected users.

    Update on my issue with EA Play Pro and PayPal I have been unable to renew or purchase EA Play Pro via PayPal since January 2025. My last successful payment was in December 2024. Every attempt fails with the message “Your action cannot be processed…”.

    I contacted both EA and PayPal multiple times. EA says the issue is on PayPal’s side, while PayPal insists my account is fine and claims the problem is with EA. My bank also confirmed there are no issues.

    Recently, I tested a PayPal payment on Epic Games, where the transaction in USD went through without any problems. This proves that my PayPal account is fully functional. The failure happens only when the payment is processed in Russian rubles (RUB), which EA Play Pro currently requires.

    So in practice, even though EA officially suspended sales only in Russia and Belarus, this issue is affecting many other CIS countries as well.

    Please escalate this matter and provide a clear resolution. Customers should not be stuck for almost a year with both sides blaming each other.

    I have the same problem. I bought EA Play yestrerday on 16 may 2025 for one year from the website and linked both my Steam and PlayStation accounts. It shows that both accounts are connected, but I still can't download EA Play games on PS Plus or Steam. I'm really disappointed.
