I have Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and i connected it to my EA account, in Xbox app i can press Install button, but it opens EA Desktop and offer me to buy EA Play subscribtion.
I found a work around, you have to first install a free game like apex Legions and then it should let you install other games.
I have Xbox Game Pass PC through a family account that is set for the Microsoft store account, being different than my gaming account. I installed EA Play and linked my gaming account to my EA account, but when I try to install an EA Play game from the Xbox app, it leads me to the store page instead of installing it.

I kept trying and clicking install in gamepass, it didn't seem to detect the link between MS and EA, eventually I rebooted and it asked for my install location preferences.
However now it's installed it fails to launch, pic.. teething issues I guess.
From how they link accounts, I'm guessing games cant be shared between all users on a PC like normal gamepass games, which is unfortunate.. if not unexpected 🙂

@Szeffszatana Can confirm this worked for me. But very frustrating, there is a reason why I disabled UAC...
Maybe I'm wrong here, but that UAC "fix" isn't for "fuadthehuman".
If I understand correctly I have the same issue where there is no "Install" option once you're on the EA desktop App because it's not available.
The EA desktop App only offers 2 option, "select a plan" or "buy the game".
As if you do not have a subscription. I think account linking for a number of people is bugged.
Just in case I did try the UAC "fix" and it's still not working.
I see, but it seems EA Play games can be shared between MS family members on game pass console... Thanks for replying anyway. 🙂
hey did you guys ever figure out a solution to your issue? I have the exact same problem where I've linked my accounts but clicking install on the xbox app redirects me to EA desktop for the options to buy the game/subscription.
I've tried rebooting, uninstalling and installing through xbox, relinking my accounts and still no luck.
The most frustrating thing is that contacting EA support just flat out doesn't work; it keeps telling me they've made a new case, an email has been sent to confirm and we'll chat with you/call you in a minute. No chat room pop ups, no calls, not even an email or a record on my case history? (I've tried everything with adblockers, cookies, pop up allowance and different browsers then just gave up)
Tested it out again 5 minutes ago and can tell you it's still not working.
I contacted EA Customer Support like 4 days ago I think it was. I was told that they are aware of the situation and that I should keep a lookout for information on "Social Media".
Now there has been ZERO updates. I have messaged EA Help as well on social media with no reply.
Normally I am quite a patient person. But when it comes to EA and now something that's supposed to be a part of my subscription that I pay for... Just because I know on EA's part, they most likely won't bothering putting out the "Update" that I'm supposed to be waiting for.
Perhaps I'm wrong but I've done all of what you've said as well "uninstalling" "relinking" etc, multiple times.
