EA Play Been Billing me for 2 years

Dear EA support,

I’ve been constantly on the phone with your EA help desk as I noticed a 3.99 payment coming out of my bank yesterday.

i looked back and have been charged this every month since 27th September 2020…. I don’t even know what ea play is. I hadn’t noticed the payments as I use one debit card and have many transactions every day. If I had seen this sooner I would have raised it. 

I’ve never signed up to EA play in my life, let alone know what the service does. So either my account had been hacked or you have signed me up to it in small print when buying a game or DLC.

i haven’t played pc in years and support confirmed the last time I logged in other than yesterday to cancel this subscription, was 2 years ago.

i would like to receive more help with this matter please as ea support are refusing to issue me a refund even after they approved I haven’t logged in or played an origin game in years. So I have been billed for a service I’ve never used, and one I’ve never signed up for.

please can I hear back ASAP.

    Our memberships for EA Play are not refundable.

    There are some exceptions to this that allow us to offer refunds under certain circumstances.

    To find out more, get in touch with us (as you have already been denied a refund, this part is likely irrelevant).

  • I know that. But records show I haven’t logged into the account for 2 years and you’ve been charging me still. I didn’t even know I was paying for this in the first place, you most likely signed me up with small print when buying a game.

    I would understand the rule of no refunds applying to if I had purchased this knowingly but I don’t know what EA play is and would have never willingly signed up and agreed to pay for this

    This has been happening to me also and I never even made use of the service. Were you able to do anything with this matter or are EA still as useless?

  • @taymurr96_ I had to resolve it with my bank. I tried to talk to EA help, but they just kept asking me for an invoice number I didn’t have. Now all of a sudden after the chargeback I have an invoice for the charge… Like you all I never signed up for this. To make matters worse I didn’t even have access to the “EA access” they are talking about.” I couldn’t talk to anybody on the phone about it.
