Fight night on xboxseries s unable to sign into xbox live

When attempting to play Fight Night Champion on my Xbox Series S it won’t let me sign in with my profile. It says “you must be signed in to Xbox Live and the EA servers in order to access the online ...

I’ve tried to get Xbox help…but i do believe this is an EA problem…i.e., not detecting a simple log in when every other game works fine 🤷🏻‍♂️
