PC Game Pass not working via EA app, it just says something went wrong

I have tried EA App Recovery, reinstalling EA app, restarting the laptop, signing out and back in on Xbox app and pretty much everything I can think of!  Whenever I click on an EA game on Xbox app, it opens the EA app and just says "404 Something Went Wrong".  I have network connection, and everything else works except for EA app  ☹️    The EA app was installed via the Xbox App and it just seems to connect itself to an account.  It is really disappointing, so any support will be very much appreciated.

Hi, no still no look unfortunately.  I don't know why but the Microsoft Game Pass is not linking with EA Play?

@landonorris6789 See if the following helps with this one!

First, log into your EA Account, and make sure the right Xbox Gamertag is linked to the right EA account.

    • Close the EA app.
    • Navigate to the Xbox app.
    • Go to settings (click your name in the top left corner)
    • Select "extensions."
    • Disable the extension for the EA App
    • Locate the game you want to download on the Xbox app
    • You'll notice that the install selection has now gone away and been replaced by an option asking you to "enable extension."
    • Enable the EA app extension
    • The Xbox app should then launch the EA app automatically
    • Once you see the EA app open, you should now be allowed to select an SSD/HDD to install the game

    @EA_Shepard Thanks for your message.

I have followed all of the instructions but unfortunately still the same.  It looks as though the correct Xbox Game Pass account is linked, which you can see in the screenshot attached.

When trying to go onto EA app however, it still does not show any games, and when clicking on Install a game via the Xbox app, it goes to the EA app but then just loads a 404 not working page.

As well as disabling and re-enabling the extension, I have also tried repairing the EA app, and also reinstalling but still this is not working.

    Anything else I can try?

I have also attached an email from Microsoft confirming the issue.

@landonorris6789 So from that first image, your Xbox account is trying to link to an EA account it was originally. If you unlink an Xbox account, you can relink the same one but the EA account you are trying to link it to either has or had one already linked and it wasn't that Xbox account. At this point, you would need to contact support to figure out what is or was linked to the EA account that's in that first image.

I bought something and it was advertised with EA content that I cannot access. This is false advertisement, and to me it looks like you just want people to pay twice....once for gamepass once for EA play.

You can be sure I will never buy another EA game.
