Here’s my feedback - and I’ll try to keep it objective.
First, I had a qualifying session in Melbourne in wet (intermediate) conditions, and I have to say that with the same AI difficulty as in dry conditions, I managed a fairly solid qualifying and wasn’t too far off the AI. However, in the race under full wet conditions it was an absolute disaster - I had no chance at all. To even remotely keep up with the AI, I had to lower the difficulty by 10 points (compared to dry conditions).
To me, it feels like it varies a lot depending on the track and the level of wetness. As many have already mentioned, the player’s car generally lacks grip. This isn’t only about wet conditions - overall grip is missing, and it’s more noticeable on some tracks or corners than on others. For example, Turn 13 in China is a complete disaster.
But honestly, I don’t think it makes much sense to keep providing detailed feedback anymore. This patch was my last hope that career mode would still be playable. Like many others, for me there won’t be an F1 game from EA next year. It’s not about the smaller issues (like livery bugs) - I honestly couldn’t care less about that. But here we’re talking about fundamental things that simply need to work, and I still can’t believe the game was released with such a major issue. The fact that there’s still no solution by the end of September says it all.
