F1® 25 Racenet League System: Issues and Improvement Suggestions
The F1® 25 Racenet league system has several ongoing issues that make it very difficult to consistently organize and run league races. The main problems and suggestions for improvement are as follows.
I've tried almost everything to fix it, like restarting my PC, relaunching the game, repairing the game files, and resetting my internet connection.
Despite that, this issue isn't just happening to me, but to a large, unspecified number of other users. On some days, one person can't connect, and on other days, it's someone else. It's difficult to find a day when everyone's connection is stable.
1. Unstable Racenet Servers and System
- Persistent Connection Errors: Both On-Demand and Scheduled leagues consistently experience connection issues, with 3 to 4 out of 20 players failing to join. This includes recurring bugs like a QR code screen appearing or getting stuck in an infinite loading loop.
- Unpredictable Bug Recurrence: This problem has persisted for months. The bugs occasionally seem to be resolved, only to unexpectedly return and ruin planned races.
2. Functional Limitations of F1 World Multiplayer
- No Password Protection: Since F1 World multiplayer lobbies lack a password feature, league organizers are forced to use private lobbies or limit the number of players, which is highly inconvenient.
- Inability to Join Mid-Session: As a result, players who are even 1-2 minutes late to a race cannot join the qualifying session, which disrupts the league's integrity.
3. Inefficient League System Management
- On-Demand League Player Limit: It is hard to understand why the maximum player count for On-Demand leagues is limited to 20. This should be increased to 1000 or more to encourage spontaneous, large-scale races.
- Scheduled League Registration and Edit Deadlines: The system is extremely inconvenient due to its strict deadlines—registration closes 30 minutes before the start, and tier edits are locked 20 minutes before. Players should be able to edit their tiers right up until the last minute.
4. Fundamental Solutions and Suggestions
The most urgent solution is to add a password feature to F1 World multiplayer. This single addition would resolve most of the current inconveniences.
Furthermore, the developers should work on strengthening the overall stability of the Racenet system. Introducing a 'reserve' feature that allows empty spots in any tier to be filled by waiting players would also make league management significantly smoother.
