This is the main thing that has kept me away from the F1 games. There really is no excuse any more for delivering a warped visual experience to triple screens. It just can't be that hard to fix, as every other sim has done it.

Popular racing simulation software supports triple monitors. If it doesn't, there must be some reason. I would be happy if EA announces triple monitor support.

The racing game/sim cannot cross-play between PC and console if true triple screen support is enabled. This is why racing sims like iRacing are PC only and why Assetto Corsa Competizione does not support cross platform play, because the ACC console sim and the ACC PC sim are actually different on a code level.
I agree with you on the frustration but F1 has always been a console-first "simcade" and adding true, native, triple-screen support would, in effect, create a separate game for PC-only players and cross-platform racing could not be supported.
I am not an expert on this but this is my understanding.

I think it will be possible to support multiple platforms by developing it as a set of common and individual parts.
I think the mechanism for actually binding the controller is an interface that is only available in the PC version.
The triple monitor settings can be adjusted individually by providing an interface for PC as an option on the graphics settings screen.
To make an attractive piece of software, I would like them to be greedy for features that directly relate to the realism unique to sim racing.

Compared to VR, triple support seems like it should be such a simple thing. F1 24 supports the screen resolution of all three of my monitors (7800 x 1440 via Surround), and all the information and visuals are (or at least appear to be) present, there's just no way to correctly account for screen size, angle, and distance like you can in other games with far less than half the budget and staff of F1. It just makes me wonder if there's something else, like triples support is more simulation than simcade/video game, and that (among other choices) keeps the F1 titles largely out of the conversation/criticism with other sim titles and more in line with any other EA Sports game. I for one know what I'm getting w an F1 game, and would still love to play it on my rig when I need my F1 fix without the side monitors looking like trash.
Side note, I also hope this time around we can use the actual mouse to navigate the menus. EA WRC has this and it's such a QoL improvement.

If EA is serious about creating software with high usability, they should realize that a satisfying user interface and attention to visibility lead to customer satisfaction. It's also a mystery why they've done away with mouse operation. The triple monitor setup is important in reproducing accurate visibility on both sides. I hope they don't give up and continue to provide users with the best F1 sim software.

I just saw EA posted an article about PC features and under triple monitor support it says: “Wraparound support only for multiple monitor setups.”
I’m guessing that means it will still be the same stretched out cockpit view on the side screens…sad.
