The worst update and the worst driving for a car game in the world, the traction control is very, very, very bad, I can not drive with the control traction off, it is unreasonable to lose control even in fast turns, for example, in the Jeddah circuit I lose control of the car in turns 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 13 This is the same for other circuits that require high speeds or slow cornering.
The worst decision in my life is buy this game and I will advise my friends and all stores in Saudi Arabia and the Arab countries not to buy this game so that they will not be deceived like me!Or you could ask for some advice on how to be able to drive without the same issue...
(I have a fairly strong hunch that your tyres are overheating due to the pressures being too high.)

The new gear ratios along with new throttle curve mean i can apply full throttle by 3rd or 4th gear without losing any traction.
If you can post your setup along with a video of you doing a lap, people might be able to help.
I did a 50% race at Jedda last night and it was a brilliant experience, one of the most enjoyable tracks once you start to get into a rhythm. - @Ultrasonic_77 I used minimum tyre pressure and still tyres were overheating. I checked that the tyre temperature can rise 30 degrees (about 85 to 115) in one corner, causing a spin. That is just ridiculous.

Since this update, IA is just unbeatable. In career mode I was Always in the top 3, but now I am in the 18-20th places... What a joke.
In Time Trial I lose 1 second from the best drivers, but I was 2.5 seconds slower than IA on Paul Ricard loool.
I just Lost the championship now finishing out of the points for last 2 races...
- @Ultrasonic_77 off course. Carcass stays pretty much the same. But when surface overheat, they lose grip. And they heat by ridiculous amounts. I mean the the tyres can go from from the lower end of working range to overheating so much that they suddenly loose grip in just one corner and with lowest pressures, don't you see and issue?

I've heard mixed reports on the matter. For myself (5900x/3080 - Reverb G2) performance in VR is worse with patch 1.06 and if I change video settings while driving (as TAA modes) the game will crawl to almost a freeze, sometimes recovering sometimes not. It never happened before, I could change settings on the fly without any issues, as it never happened to me that FPS took a sudden hit everytime particles (as smoke) appear firstly on the screen, or sometimes randomly while driving. I experience random frame timing spikes while before I was perfectly fine with the settings I had. Overall VR performance in my system has actually deteriorated with the patch. On the upside, however, visual quality is drastically improved while using TAA only so you can use that instead of TAA + Sharpening, recovering much of the performance loss.
What's your own experience with patch 1.06 and VR?P.S: Also, CM, please introduce a setting to force the gaze to stay locked to the horizon in VR because mountains in the distance - for example - shouldn't be moving up or down with the movement of the camera. That's fine in 2D but in a 3D settings it feels really strange since that's not how human sight works. If you are at it then, you could also add some options to set how much the camera shake because with this last patch the latter seems increased to me (but it can be that's just placebo or I notice it more because frame times are more random than before).
- @ajobling1983 There has been already plenty of discussion about this in threads on this forum. This is not news. This is a known issue of the new update.
Worse, before patch it crashed to desktop maybe 4 or 5 times during a race, now it CTD every 3 minutes
