Thanks, @CO88LER5 and @thurlow885.
I agree, often the players suggested in swap deals are someone I would never even concider. And this time he actually looks quite promising.
I think I'll go with the swap then. It's also fun to end up with other players than I originally planned to target.
I'd think of it as a bit like when United bought Cantona from Leeds. That started as an enquiry from Leeds for a United player(can't remember who). Fergue said "no" but asked about Cantona, and the deal was done. A totally unplanned deal.

That was Dennis Irwin if I remember correctly.
Not often I agree in the term A Player is the difference maker, but back then Cantona sure was and someone like Fergie was able to tame him a bit better than Howard Wilkinson was. Leeds fans were furious for letting him go especially to United, but truth be known he was going anyways

As far as I know, Fergie went for Alan Shearer, who chose to join Blackburn in stead. So he must have been on the market for a striker at the time.

Haha, if they wanted a Man United player, I suppose they shouldn't have asked for the gaffer's favourite. I agree with the "difference maker" though. Cantona at Man United and Ronaldinho at Barcelona. I can't think of anyone more worthy of that term than these two.

Beating Spurs then losing to Wolves sounds like the story of your season. Wins were expected against the lower league opposition even if rotated team but progress in the cup is still good. Fighting for a Trophy is still to be expected. Bit of a gap for Top 6, but plenty of points to play for.
I also think you've come out with the better end of the deal regardless Eriksen which is unusual for Man United these days.

Perhaps Wolves are turning out to be my bogey team in this save. They beat med 3-1 in the season opener with the same two guys scoring there. I've now decided to scout them both. If I can't beat them, maybe I can buy them in stead. But yes, beating Spurs and losing to them certainly is the story of this season. And - I suppose - the story of Man United IRL for the past 10 years.

That is something I often do when I play against someone and they cause me issues.. I remember my first season can't remember who, but I couldn't score keeper stopped everything. Was very disappointed tho to find out they were 36 , but it's something I've often done in the past
