It's true that some items on the EAS catalog were quiet nice to get however the catalog was an online feature and has been discontinued just same the online servers.
One thing to note also is that the online servers will be closed for FIFA 18 to 21 on the 6th of November 2023 as we can see here.

SHUT THE FUC* UP and stop LYING to us players... act as FUC*ING SERIOUS brand, not like a childish 10 year-old kid trying to hide the truth...
