SLOW SLUGGISH GAMEPLAY WHAT TO DO? I have a TIP.

Hi mates!

First of all, I suffered a lot, because of bad gameplay, and I tried to fix it several times, but nothing helped. I blamed EA for this issue, I was pretty sure the severs are sh.. but it wasn’t the source of my problem.

I had the worst possible gameplay experience I think, because my gameplay was not just heavy, and delayed.

My own players refused to run after first touch (like they took a breath and after started to run), and all my opponent easily ran through on my defense, and when I tried to defend, my players had no clue where is the ball, and my attack was something similar.

I contacted my isp for solution, and holy cow, that helped me. It was a splitter on my coax for no reason… they removed it, and it helped a bit, but it was not the complete solution.

I asked for disable IPV6 on my router (you can ask it from your ISP), because most online games works better with IPV4. Don’t ask I’m not an expert, but it’s a fact.

My third step was DMZ. It’s a setting on your router. You can put your console’s ip address into the DMZ, and it helps for more fluid communicating between your console and ea servers, because your console does not need firewall, or any security setting what can slow down your connection.

I tried different dns servers, but it was just bullsh… for me, it just made my game more inconsistent and unstable, but who knows, maybe this is your solution.

If you want, you can add port forwarding or port triggering for your connection, if you are maximalist.

Long story short:

1. Contact your ISP for a review (maybe they can help faster than you think)

2. Disable IPV6 on your router (ISP action)

3. Put your IP address to DMZ, for avoid firewall (Router settings)

4. Use port forwarding or port triggering.

DNS servers what can be useful for you:

Google, Cloudflare, Free

Port Forwarding / Port triggering:

PlayStation

  • TCP: 3478-3480
  • UDP: 3074, 3478-3479

Xbox

  • TCP: 3074
  • UDP: 88, 500, 3074, 3544, 4500

Best of wishes.

  • @nuffledesma So all in all bad gameplay is a result of connection problems, like it was always adviced over the forum.

    You are right!

I think EA should share some internet connection tips, not just those troubleshooting tips what helpers always shares with the community. There is an issue with many connection to ea servers, and it’s a mystery… I experienced very inconsistent gameplay before i fixed my connection.

EAFC 24 is very sensitive to connections. I tried to play with WiFi and Mobile Internet as well, and compared to cable connection there is 3 different gameplay mechanics, and it’s a bit disappointing. It’s not equal to the players and there is something to improve by EA.

If you have great connection to ea servers the game is awesome this year (YES, it’s a very good game), but if you have mid connection to ea servers, the game changes into a circus.

Many ISP asks the traceroute for EA, because they want to fix this problem.

EA games should be more flexible in this case, but I understand it’s not that simple.

@nuffledesma @Nalchic I appreciate your tips on ONLINE gameplay, but this game’s gameplay also changes in OFFLINE modes too. And im not talking about Squad Battles, input delay is even on kickoff at the moment for me. I’ve changed controllers and  monitors with no luck. It seems that it’s something in the game itself, maybe like a gameplay bug that impacts a portion of the player base.
