Cant access any online game modes - error cites 'parental controls'

About 6 weeks ago my stepson was suddenly unable to access any online game modes on EA FC24. The game starts to connect to EA servers, then the following message appears "you cannot use this content...

    I'm sorry to say, those under the age of 13 are not permitted to play online modes of our games. You can find out more about this in the article here.
