Its becoming increasingly more common that I will be playing in Career mode and am unable to pause then it freezes at half time meaning I have to restart the game.
I have lost massive progress on my career mode having made some brilliant last minute transfers, offered the england job only to play my next fixture and find its frozen half time and cant continue.
Very frustrating. I had read on another forum that this had been fixed but evidently not!
Unable to pause game in career mode. Can play till halftime. Then once the first half ends, it doesn't get to the halftime menu. Contrary to an earlier post, issue still persists even after the latest update.

There is no ability to pause a career mode game sometimes. Also no menu appears at half time so you can never complete a full game because there is no timer. It’s been like it for ages, can’t believe they charge £60 for a game littered with bugs year on year.
I am unable to FC 24 during some matches in career mode, also the match does not complete because the cut scene just playing on loop during HT
Best way that I can check whether or not the game will freeze, is by pausing the game immediately once a match starts. If it allows you to pause, then it's good. If it doesn't allow you to pause, then it'll do the halftime loop. 😅
Having the same problem here, it‘s extremely frustrating. I have to restart the game everytime again and do the match preparations again and it is not rare that the bug appears immediately again multiple times in a row. It makes the game unable to play and destroys progress. I don‘t understand why they don‘t fix it. It literally destroys the whole career mode, which is the only reason I’m playing this game btw, and they do not fix it. I just can‘t understand. I think it triggers if you press pause too early in a match, wait till the ball is rolling. But I am not sure

I play on ps5 but had it on my old ps4 too.
I encountered this bug while playing Manager Career Mode but found a workaround. I manually save my career game before starting each match to avoid this issue. By saving the game before every match, I have successfully prevented the bug from occurring.
