Career Mode - Can't Pause/ Stuck at Half-Time

How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Playing through career mode, the bug occurs randomly during games. The longer the career save has been played seems to increase the likelihood of the bug occurring. (This save has roughly 5 hours playtime)
What happens when the bug occurs? Pressing the pause button during match gameplay does nothing, all other buttons seem to function normally. The match will continue, unable to pause until half-time where the game will get stuck in an endless cutscene. No normal halftime menu UI is displayed and it is impossible to progress to the second half.
What should be happening instead? The game should pause and show the pause menu, the halftime menu UI should show at half time and allow progression to the second half.
Despite what other posts here indicate, this bug has been occurring regularly since release and was not fixed by title update 3.
