Controller not responding every other UT Rivals match

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Start a UT Rivals match.
What happens when the bug occurs? Roughly every other match (2 out of 3 matches I've tried today; 1st and 3rd match), the controller becomes unresponsive at kick-off. I can hold A to skip the cut scene, but as soon as the players are set to kick off, the controls are not picking up. I can pause and navigate the menu with the controller and I can access and navigate the Xbox Game Bar without issues as well, so the controller is connected properly. It's just the game that's not picking it up. I can control the players with the keyboard. Plugging the controller in through USB does not solve the problem. The problem does not occur in Career Mode. Have not tried other online modes.
What should be happening instead? The game should pick up the control inputs from my Xbox Controller
Xbox Wireless Controller (Model 1914) connected to the PC (win11) via bluetooth (TP-Link Archer TX50E - WiFi 6/Bluetooth 5.0 PCIe card).
No CPU/GPU/RAM overclocking (not even XMP).
Wired network connection: 1Gbps down, 150Mbps up

- MSI MPG341CQR monitor (USB-hub + built-in webcam, RGB functions not used, software not running)
- Logitech C920 webcam
- Logitech MX Mechanical keyboard

Unplugging everything does not change the problem.
