Dual Entitlement - PS5 to PS4

Hi there - I have a similar issue. The EA Dual Entitlement info site wasn't very clear on this when I looked before ordering. It seems extremely unfair to be blocked from Dual Entitlement/having both versions for having the physical PS5 version when they are both the same price. Can anyone from EA confirm/help?

I've been trying to get this resolved for a few days now, had a few online chats with EA Help but it conveniently disconnects before I can get anywhere. I'm still trying as seems ridiculous that if you buy PS4 version (for the same amount of money) you get access to PS5 version, but not the other way round. How does that make sense?

I have the same problem, with the disc version of PS5 I can only use the PS5 variant.
Friends have bought the Online variant from the shop and can choose between the PS4 and PS5 variants.
Is there any official information here yet?

No, I've still not had an answer. Had 3 different online chats which always disconnect before I get anywhere. I now seem to have lost the ability to start an online chat. I have got 4 open cases which seem to be impossible to actually do anything with, so I don't really know what to do next. It is absolutely ridiculous that buying the disc version on PS5 means you get no dual entitlement when you do with all other formats.

STILL trying to get this sorted. EA Help is an absolute joke. They are now trying to claim it is an issue with PSN and I should take it up with them. No, it is an issue with EA's ridiculous policy that you don't get dual entitlement if you buy the physical PS5 disc when you get it if you buy any other format!!

I have admitted defeat, just cannot get anywhere with EA help at all, a complete joke. I have ended up buying the game on PS4, which does let you upgrade to PS5 for free, and I will sell my PS5 copy on ebay.

If the option for both is not appearing then you will need to speak with PSN support.

If game sharing then you will need to speak with PSN support for any issues.

There are different answers all over EA answers for this same issue.

Some clarity and consistency on this issue would be helpful.

The fact that this was explained poorly before launch has led to people buying two copies of the game...which seems to EA's advantage.
