I had the same exact problem for Battlefield 2042 and then Battlefield V whenever EA updated it to include the anticheat. I hadn't been able to play 2042 for months because of it. So after I tried everything I read in every forum, I finally got it to work:
This is for both the game file and the EA Anti-cheat service launcher:
In File Explorer go to where your game is saved. Right click on it and choose properties. Under digital signatures, double click the game>view certificate>install certificate. Follow all the prompts to finish. The other thing that worked for me that's contrary to popular belief is in the Compatibility tab under Properties, I checked Run Program as Administrator. I believe it was a combination of both of these that made it work for me.
