EA Social Hub not even opening on ps5

Ive tried everything, re-install didnt help, clearing console cache didnt help, trying ps4 version, unlinking ea account from ps5 and relinking again.

The game says in the bottom right corner R2 for social hub/ea connect, but when I try to click R2 nothing happens. The UT modes where you can play with a friend dont work either. Ive also tried with a different controller, even though the R2 button is working fine everywhere else in the game, when it comes to social hub nothing happens. 

I am not able to play with friends, add friends or accept their friend requests. They can even invite me for friendly 1v1 via playstation friends, but I cannot even do that myself.
