EA Sports FC 24 doesn't recognise my gamepad in-game

Hello,

My EA sports 24 game doesn't recognise the gamepad in-game, but when i click R1 on it, it can lead me to EA friendlist page (on keyboard is tab), and my controller woks perfectly in that section (and in other games)  but not in section of a gameplay, and i have no way of navigating thru game menu or in-game it doesn't respond at all....

I use gamepad with cable btw...

Things i tried so far:

-Repair game

-Plug gamepad after and before launching game

-Removing my keyboard and mouse after entering game and leaving only gamepad on

Is there anything i am doing wrong, and can you give me tips on how to make it work? Thank you.
