FC 24 - Steam/EA corrupted file replaced my original progress

I logged into FC 24 last night and it was working perfectly fine with no issues whatsoever. Until this morning, when I log in and reach the saved profiles menu it now shows instead of my original saved profile, it shows a profile labeled as "1". When I try clicking on it it repeatedly tells me to retry because of an error and when I click retry it keeps going on an endless cycle. Please help as I do not want my progress to be deleted. I have spent over $100 on it already and over 60 hours have been put into the game.

    @belioh I have a similar problem with my EAFC too. Since Oct 30th, I haven't been able to get past the profile screen. I launch the game, press on my profile and it brings me to a grey screen and proceeds to crash. I have tried everything. From repairing and deleting the game to individually removing files one by one to see which one would be the problem. I'm pissed off as much as you are. I hate missing out on the game and want to go back to playing it. There is one thing I haven't tried but I'm scared that it wont work, deleting the profile. As much as it would seem to work, it just doesn't make sense and when I use the companion app I can still manage my team. I hope a bug fix or something comes soon so that all of this can be fixed. I hope your problem gets fixed.

    I have a similar issue. My career mode saves completely reset when I exit the game. I manually save it but when I go back to play it’s either completely gone or it’s reset back to the start of the save.
