FC 24: Player Randomly Dribbles

The current state of this game is laughable. At very random times, I would either try to shoot or pass the ball, but rather then carrying out said instruction, my player would randomly dribble with the ball rather then releasing the pass or having the shot. This has cost me lots of matches! Is this a bug? Or something which I need to turn off in settings because this is pissing me off now.
