Thanks. My game doesn,t launch instead it just reopens EA app.Have tried everything including uninstalling and reinstalling the game,Trying to repair,uninstall,reinstall Anticheat but noyhing seems to be working.How do i fix this???Used to play the game before.The game is FC24

- RuslanB2 years agoSeasoned Hotshot@STINGAMER2295 I have the exact same problem starting July 5, 2024. At the same time, the game before that worked and ran without issues for half a year.
- I have tried manually updating EA App and EA Anti-Cheat;
- I completely uninstalled EA App and EA Anti-Cheat and reinstalled them;
- I completely uninstalled the game, cleaned all remaining folders related to the game on my PC and reinstalled it via Steam.
- I assigned all .exe files for the game, EA App and Anticheat the right to run as administrator, added them all to Windows Defender exceptions, allowed access through Windows Firewall.
None of this solved the problem. Communication via support chat also did not bring any result, they give all the same banal recommendations, which I have already tried many times, and they do not help.
Then I decided to go to a friend's house, who also has the FC24 game purchased and installed, and try to run it through my account. Firstly, I made sure that the game on his computer runs successfully through his account. Then, I logged into my own account in the EA App on his PC and tried to launch the game - in the end, the game with my account never launched on his PC either!
So the problem is definitely not with my PC, but with account beginning July 4th or 5th (after last update of FC24), because the game stopped launching on different PCs, if you try to access it through my account. - @EA_Barry I have a gtx 770, but all my other specs are higher than recommended and when i start the game it's just a splash screen and black screen then EA app this is frustrating, please fixe this I got this game today and have done everything to my pc to fix this. I think it's my game at this point.

After trying dozens of different ways to solve the problem, I was finally able to launch the game!
I don't know why, but I somehow missed the “A clean or safe boot on your PC” option to solve the launch problem.

When I contacted the support chat room again, I finally got a good consultant who recommended this method. (It's not clear why the previous consultant didn't suggest this when I spent about an hour in the support chat room).
After following exactly the instructions in "How do I run a clean boot on my PC?" I was finally able to run the game!
I then started testing and alternately putting programs and background services back into autostart.
This is how I found the service/program that was preventing me from running the game. This program was Windhawk, which is used for OS customization.
Disabling the background service of this program allowed the game to run. But I went further, and simply in the advanced settings of this program added FC24.exe to exceptions, and now even with Windhawk running in the background the game still runs.However, I would like to draw attention of EA representatives, if they read this forum at all, that I had Windhawk program installed before that. And during half a year since I bought the game it didn't cause any problems launching FC24! And the issues started only after the last update of the game (TU17).
