playing via Steam Link

I purchased FC24 licence for EA app to play it with my son on the lounge TV via Steam Link. and whatever I tried, I can't make Xbox controllers working there.
It works locally with XBox controller, but not remotely via Steam Link.

There is this article saying the jawelin has support for Steam client, so I assume Steam Link too.

I think that Javelin is blocking the Steam Input overlay. Anyone managed to make it working?
