FC24 on PS4:
Defence controller settings stuck as:
O = press
X = secondary press
tackle and contain disappeared.
tried close application and restarting PlayStation. Also tried changing to a different controller which used to work prior to the second game update.
anyone else having this issue?
Update on the above:
Tried to use EA chat to explain that I have narrowed it down to happening when I am signed into EA and it's fixed if I cancel the EA login during the initialisation of FC24 (i.e. the first start screen you get when you load the application).
Sadly, the EA representative(s) I spoke to tried to blame this on a PSN error and so I naively moved over to a PSN chat to try and see if this was a PSN account error (I noticed when signed in as Guest PSN this didn't occur - which, at the time, I didn't realised was because the guest account did not have an EA login, not because it was a bug-free PSN account).
To test this theory I opened FC24 and quickly cancelled the EA sign in - HEY, PRESTO! I have tackle and contain back in the place they should be.
Good luck trying to contact EA to fix this, not only due to their waiting times but also the efficiency of clueless representatives to pass the blame once they have run out of ideas.
The problem was in the settings in my case. Had the same issue, ended up looking in the gameplay section of the game settings. Scrolled down to the defending part and noticed defending was switched to legacy defending. Switched back to tactical as it should be.
