FC24 XBox One Controller Bug

Playing FC24 on XBox One with 2 players (not online). On Select Sides before the start of the match, Player 1 slides to the left and selects to play with “Two Button” and Player 2 slides to the right and selects to play with “Classic” (controller mode). We leave the page, go back to Select Sides and the two Players are now set to “Two Button”. We change Player 2 again to “Classic”, leave page and go start the match. Player 1 notices that the controller is not responding accordingly. Pause match, go to Select Sides and both Player 1 and 2 are set to “Classic”. There’s no way to have Player 1 in “Two Button” and Player 2 in “Classic”? We have tried with 5 different wireless controllers, tried to delete and reinstall FC24, tried a factory reset on the XBox One. Nothing worked. Any ideas?
