Game automatically pauses from the start of an offline match

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Launch via steam, load into a squad battles match with an Xbox controller
What happens when the bug occurs? Game automatically pauses before kickoff. When the game is unpaused, after 2-3 seconds, the game pauses again. I am still able to navigate the menus properly. The game is focused. I have tried swapping controllers, resetting settings, changing from Borderless Windowed to Fullscreen, and restarting computer.
What should be happening instead? The game should not pause unless the start button is pressed
Game automatically pauses before and after kickoff. Upon loading into a squad battles match, the game automatically pauses itself. Upon unpausing, within 2-3 seconds, it re-pauses itself. I am still able to navigate the menus properly. The game is focused. I have tried swapping controllers, resetting settings, changing from Borderless Windowed to Fullscreen, and restarting computer.
