Getting the "cheat setup detected" error message and game crashes
Been playing the game with the exact same setup for the last 10 months (Steam on gaming laptop and with a PS5 controller) and I've never used any "augmenting" software such as [Edit - EA_Barry], and never had this issue before. I downloaded the closed EAFC 25 beta thru Steam via my e-mail code four days ago and immediately uninstalled after realizing I can't even use my PS controller on the PC version for it yet.
I logged into EAFC 24 today for the first time since then, and after I play for about 3 minutes (usually before I can get into any match) the game crashes and I get the message telling me to restart the game after ensuring I am not using any cheating software. I have tried every fix I can find on YouTube, making sure that everything on Windows Defender allows everything pertaining to EAFC 24 and its anti-cheating software, deleted the EA app and redownloaded/repaired multiple times, even redownloaded the whole game today and nothing works. Tried getting rid of any software pertaining to my PS5 controller as well, still nada.
Has this been happening to anyone else since the closed betas started rolling out? Do you guys know of any "magical solution" that isn't listed anywhere else? I heard that there's something I can do through the BIOS, but I really don't want to mess with since I also read that it may cause booting issues with your computer and maybe even brick it?
