@mcb0710 This has been an issue for a few years. You have to manually change your team before going into the new match, then set it back again after you finish the match and the players return.
It's the same for players returning from injury..
Once again EA have focused more on Ultimate Team that makes them more money, than fixing Career Mode..

Oh I know, but one to change a good few players for one game to put them back again …. Lazy maybe but also not hard to fix surely.
