Passing and Shooting is completely off in Online seasons

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Play an online seasons game or co-op seasons game.
What happens when the bug occurs? Simple passing and shooting is completely off in online seasons. When I press X for passing it to a player who is just a few feet away from my current player, the pass just goes to either the wrong player or goes completely sideways into an empty space. Same with shooting, when I press the Shoot button O - even though I am shooting from inside the box, the ball goes completely sideways or towards the corner flag. This happens only in Online seasons and Co-op seasons. Offline kickoff game works as intended. I have tried a fresh install of the game but still the same result.
What should be happening instead? Pass should go to the right player or as directed. Shot should go in the right direction.
