Just adding myself to this thread, same problems. Worked fine before the last title update (not the one released today). I'm running an i9 13900k... Game runs fine otherwise
@dragoonx008 Makes sense, because I have an Asus mobo (ROG Crosshair VIII Dark Hero)
Anyway, this is something that EA has to fix because an important number of PC's are running under Asus mobos.@EA_Pulsarcan you please consider what @dragoonx008 said regarding Asus, and share the information with the dev team? We need you guys to fix this asap.
Thanks in advance.- dragoonx0083 years agoNew Adventurer
@SilverChris10 once the lakers game is done i will see if the Update on Asus Crate fixed it but ya it something with the EA Anti-Cheat because most of the people over in BF 2042 had working games in S5 because they were using Easy anti-cheat and once EA Anti-cheat Came in it Just happened to BSOD and say Kernel BSOD so EA needs to look into this
PS: can Comfirm the problem is still there even after the update i feel like it has to do with something with Asus software but it doesnt happen with my Asus Laptop that has a 3070 in it

Thanks. Can you try unplugging all USB devices (think hard drives, cameras, steering wheels, etc.) from your PC and see if that helps?
In the past, I've seen reports of PCs crashing at that very moment and being fixed by unplugging external devices or switching keyboards.
Also, if you have any programs with an interface on your system, e.g. Steelseries, apps to control LEDs, disable them or uninstall temporarily.
Here comes my DxDiag and msinfo aswell.
Seems like we all have asus hardware and software in common as you mentioned.
@EA_Pulsar Tried with such softwares uninstalled/disabled on task manager, unplugged all USB devices including mouse and keyboard and issue still persists.
@EA_Pulsar I have tried what you suggested but unfortunately the result was the same as @glyuki said, issue still going on.
If this was working well before the latest patch and also before the last kernel update, and we have wasted a lot of time trying different tweaks/fixes with no results, even risking our systems in those attempts... Well then, now it's time you guys at EA fix this damn thing. When we bought the game, it says for PC not for PC's except you have an Asus Motherboard.
And just FYI, the same is happening with the folks playing BF2042, you can read their reports here ---> https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues/Blue-Screen-of-Death-after-closing-BF2042/m-p/13132386#M54350
So, in conclusion, you have too much information about the issue, and with all due respect this is unbearable at this point.
Hope to hear from you guys sooner than later.
Thanks.I have Asus Motherboard and this is the reseaon for blackscreen everytime I quit the game?
@duyme1992 possibly. Looks like most people in this thread have an ASUS motherboard, issue is likely due to EA anti-cheat but we don't know for certain. Best to play another game or just deal with the BSODs whilst EA sorts it out.
Hello everyone!
Please see https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues/Blue-Screen-of-Death-after-closing-BF2042/td-p/13088702/page/10 page 10 and page 11, there is a workaround found by a user to bypass the issue until EA fix this.@EA_Pulsar Now you have the root of the problem, please show this data to the dev team asap!
Thank you all for your time and help!!
