Players fitness does not replenish when they suspended

After getting a red card my player's fitness doesn't recharge. Even if I get red card for Champions League the fitness won't recharge for other competition games. Changing training plan won't work neither.

Correct. Energy levels decrease if your player is suspended. If the player is suspended in the Champions League then he won't regain fitness until after his suspension so you can't use him in any other game until the Champions League suspension is over
