I have a similar situation. When launching online UT modes 15 seconds after the start of the match, my players start running in one direction without the possibility of changing the player or direction, they just get stuck in one direction.
I can't play at all because of this bug. The joystick works in other games, the Internet connection is excellent.
I've got the exact same problem. Ea developers are an absolute disgrace. They've had 11 updates for Ea fc 24 since it came out and this bug error you're talking about has returned after this latest update of 1:11 patch notes. I'll never buy another fifa /Ea again. It'd disappeared a few patch notes back but it's back. These incompetent fools can't try it before they release it to the general public. They're ripping us off to death. It makes the game play ridiculous. There is absolutely nothing wrong with my controller. But this inept game makes you think it is
