Re: EA Sports FC 24 on Steam Deck

This is not gonna happen any time soon. Many games that require anti-cheat dont work on Linux. Not just EA games. That's just how it is.

It's one of the reasons I chose the ROG Ally instead of the Steam Deck.

For you, the only way to get it to work is if you install Windows on your Steam Deck. You can dual-boot Windows and SteamOS so you just use Windows for FC24 and games that use anti-cheat, and SteamOS for all your other games.

The more common anti-cheats actually run well in Linux, it's just that the game developers don't bother enabling it for Linux for a long time.

It's been changing lately though and more developers are enabling the anti-Cheat to work with Linux.

Now it's really just the in-house anti-Cheats like Riot's Valorant anti-cheat and of course EA's as well.

It's so dumb because the games themselves would surely run fine on Linux, just the anti-cheat blocking it is stupid.
