Title Update #13 & #14 patch notes do not mention this bug.
This bug has been present since launch in September, and tomorrow is May. That's 7 months without being able to play FULL MANUAL.
Full manual controls have been in the game since 2008. 16 years later in 2024, this is now the first FIFA/EAFC game that cannot be played using full manual controls.
Any updates on the issue? I've started playing since the game was released on PlayStation Plus and pausing every match to switch lobbed through passes from semi to manual is very annoying...
@Major_Raine When playing online, changing it from semi-assisted to manual does not matter, Lob Through ball is ALWAYS LOCKED TO SEMI-ASSISTED in online modes.
This is specifically because in online modes the "Competitive Master Switch" is enabled, which is what's locking Lob Through Ball to semi-assisted.
That's the issue. It's impossible for Lob Through Pass to be manual.
@Major_Raine The frustrating thing is this exact bug was present in FIFA 22 at launch in September 2021 and EA issued a patch to fix it in March 2022.
EA24 released in September 2023 and there is no patch and it's nearly June 2024.

Literally EA have the solution because they solved it before. It's just a matter of them doing it and putting out the patch.
Come on EA, it’s the same bug from last year’s game and you already have the fix for it. It can’t be too difficult to patch.

Unfortunately, I don't think this bug will be fixed. the he worst part is that the FC25 is likely to have the same bug. Developers always reuse previous versions. So the same bug happens every year. For example, from FIFA 21 to FIFA 23 there was a bug where manual cross couldn't adjust the power. Surprisingly, the developers had been using the same version for 3 years without making any changes. Otherwise this bug wouldn't occur.
When I look at their work up to now, I see that they are always thinking about how to make things easier for themselves. they have no intention of improving or creating something new. as many users say, the only thing they care about is making money from FUT.

We're really going to go the entire year of FC24 with no manual Lob Through Balls, aren't we?
FC24 has passed and this bug went unfixed.
Not only that, but the bug still remains in FC25!
What a shame.
