Selection in game issue

I have PC version and I play on a laptop with X-Box Gamepad (recognised by W11 correctly).

I have the following issues - not in game:

- option menu: sometimes it is not possible to select the desired option with joystick (or D-pad). I can select video menu, but not the options inside (i.e. resolution) - simply it doesn't move. In any case I have found a workaround: I select with shoulder button (LB or RB) another menu, I go back in the one I need to change the options and it works;

- evolution: when I try to select a player, I can't. No workaround found in this case.

Any solution?
