Stuck in careers team management

When playing FC24 career mode and going to team management in the middle of a match to make a substition I cannot go back to the match. The ”back button” does not respond and I will be stuck forever in the team management screen. Doesn’t matter whether or not I am logged in to EA servers or playing offline. I am playing on PS5 and tried with two different controllers. All worked fine yesterday and the day before but not anymore suddenly. 

also when i click to substitute a player from the field with a bench player it won’t actually do the change. Rebooted the game trice now and still not working.
