Switching EA account to a new one after preordering Ultimate edition

Based on what I understand, if you've successfully unlinked your PSN ID from the old EA account and linked it to a new EA account, you should be able to play FC 24 without any complications. However, if the unlinking hasn't been done, accessing the game on your new EA account might be problematic.
