Unable to change formation ea fc 24

Playing kickoff tournaments on PlayStation is quite task as I am only stuck on default formation and tactics for most games. I tried changing it before and after but I was still unfortunate. A few games I'd get lucky and it would switch but most I am forced to use the default team settings. I tried to even set the tactics in settings then switch in the tournament but even that failed. This bug also affects substitutions as it just fails when trying to do same.
