Xbox Elite Controller skipping on menu

I have an issue in the menus with my xbox elite controller on xbox (old gen), can't access the drop down menu using LT and in game I am unable to sprint with my players using RT.

I have checked the funcionality of my controller and all the buttons are responding properly outside of ea fc 24 and my normal xbox controller works in the game so it is some kind of issue with xbox elite controller and ea fc 24 not working together.
